“With cycling, he said, it’s not if you crash, it’s when”

I found this article in the New York Times through Twitter. Having had a bad accident myself, I recognise the feeling of “I’ll never take the risk of cycling again”.

It is strange how we distinguish between running and cycling. If you fell over whilst running, you would just think, huh, unlucky. But when you fall off your bike, you try to rationalise what happened.

I had a year out from cycling between April 2006 and June 2007. Wasted days!
