Barry Mason

Barry Mason, cyclist and campaigner in Southwark, died whilst on holiday in Spain on 2nd June . He got into difficulty whilst swimming in the sea and sadly drowned. He was probably best known amongst cyclists for organising the annual Dunwich Dynamo.

I’d got to know Barry a little as he was a neighbour of mine in Surrey Quays. I regret not having  the opportunity to sit down with him over a beer and asking him what his vision was for cycling in London.

There is an interview with Barry here.

RIP Barry.
